my "friend"

for a while my friend, for lack of another name, hasn't been active. for several months nothing has happened and i haven't heard anything. but, that has changed recently. about a week ago i started to hear noises again. the first time i thought it was my 7 year old daughter running up to my bedroom door. when i didn't hear her say anything and she didn't come in and i didn't hear her walk away i went to the door to find no one there. i went to her room and she was asleep with the door closed. that happened 3 or 4 nights in a row at about the same time each night, between 8:30 and 9. one night i thought i also heard whispering in my bedroom, but i can't be certain, and i thought i also felt someone lightly touch my hair. this morning at around 5:30 i thought i heard one of my kids running around in the kitchen. i went to investigate but no one was there, and they were asleep. this time in the kitchen was different from the other times. other times i would hear the floor creaking like when someone is walking. this time i could swear i heard what sounded like feet slapping against the floor.
